Spooky Vibes In The Deep South at Suwanee Hulaween

Pack your costumes, camping gear and hula hoops, it’s time to head down south to more than 800 acres of land in Live Oak, Florida for the fourth annual Suwannee Hulaween. This year, the three day festival boasts an unbelievable music lineup that includes a special DJ set from Disclosure, the soulful vocals of Anderson Paak, and seven performances by The String Cheese Incident throughout the weekend.

Suwannee Hulaween takes place October 28-30 along the banks of the historic Suwannee River, which adds to this boutique festival’s spooky vibes. But despite the unrecognizable shadows you’ll see lurking and ghostly interactions you might experience in the forest, the small festival continues to drive a large number of attendees. In fact, last year the organizers experienced record breaking attendance of more than 21,000, but they chose to limit tickets to 20,000 this year to ensure fans have the best experience.

The festival’s signature Spirit Lake , an eclectic mix of interactive events and visual art exhibits, will feature a collection of multimedia metalwork, paintings, sculptures, light projections and live performances turning the forest into what attendees call a mythical place. The experimental installation is an important component of the festival, and this year will expand to accommodate even more art and interactive experiences than ever before. In addition to Spirit Lake , Suwannee Hulaween will also feature theme nights, yoga, and a variety of workshops.

This year’s music lineup is packed with festival favorites like The Chainsmokers, My Morning Jacket, Big Gigantic, STS9, Umphrey’s McGee, Gramatik, Lettuce and many more. It’s usually not easy to fit in everyone you want to see, but thankfully the Suwannee Hulaween organizers thought about that when they planned the schedule. Acts are pretty staggered at this festival, which not only makes it easy to catch the artists you came for, but also leaves time to check out new music too. If you can make it down to the grounds on Thursday, we highly recommend it. The pre-party lineup is small, but will serve as an excellent precursor to an epic weekend.
