Singapore’s newest outdoor music and arts festival returns to the iconic Fort Canning National Park to celebrate it’s sophomore year November 26-27. Featuring six stages and more than 50 artists performing throughout the weekend, Neon Lights‘ second run is guaranteed to be a knockout success with British post-punk sensation Foals, experimental Icelandic rock band Sigur Rós and many more.
This two-day event is packed full of interactive art, great food, and copious amounts of outstanding music. Situated in the heart of the city, Neon Lights will feature performances by The Sugarhill Gang, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Yuna, SBTRKT, and Crystal Castles. In addition to the solid selection of international acts, the festival will pay homage to the local music scene with Disco Hue, Cashew Chemists, Linying and others taking the stage. Neon Lights’ lineup is a treasure trove of new music worth adding to your playlist. Do a little research before you pass through the festival gates. You never know what you’ll discover.
At Neon Lights, there’s always something to do, so if you find yourself in need of cerebral rejuvenation check out their expansive arts program. The festival organizers have done a splendid job curating experiences like Radiance , a large-scale audio visual installation that will leave you mesmerized and begging for more. You can also pop into The Rocking Horse for performances from writers, comedians and poets, or peruse The Barter Market for the next addition to your growing art collection. No cash needed at the market, everything on display is up for trade. But the fun doesn’t stop after the festival lights go off and the music ends. There’s an official after party series for those battling festival insomnia.
