If moshing with hip hop’s rowdiest rappers or losing yourself to the master of remixes sounds like the Halloween plan of the year, San Antonio is where you need to be. Mala Luna Music Festival, taking place October 29-30, is the first large-scale music event to take over the Lone Star Brewery, and touts a lineup that has grabbed the attention of EDM and hip hop fans alike. With over 8,000 people expected to attend, Mala Luna is sure to leave everyone begging for more.
One glance at the lineup and you’ll understand the hype around the debut event. From the time festival gates open, expect back to back bangers from artists like Tony Lanez, Rae Sremmurd, Kehlani, G Eazy, and Steve Aoki (champagne and cake, anyone?). In addition to the most anticipated acts, Mala Luna’s lineup features the best San Antonio’s music scene has to offer with performances from local artists IVY, VI$ION, Greg G, and Mitch James to name a few. Organizers have also saved the best for last as Travis Scott’s performance is set to wrap the first night and Kaskade is expected to close out the festival on Sunday.
Between Suwannee Hulaween, Voodoo Music + Arts Experience, Mala Luna and more (we can’t forget Freaky Deaky and Festival Supreme) there’s a lot going on this weekend. But no matter which one you’re attending, this Halloween is guaranteed to be unforgettable.
