The fourth-annual III Points Music, Art & Technology Festival taking place October 7-9 is located in one of the largest and most prominent creative communities in the US, Miami’s Wynwood Arts District. With an amazingly diverse selection of local and international performers set to converge at III Points, we’re sure Mana Wynwood will be packed to the gills.
Don’t let the Miami stereotype fool you. At III Points you’ll get a true glimpse into the other side of the city’s independent music scene with performances from Sunshine State luminaries like Deaf Poets, Nick León, Poorgrrl and many more. Featuring top-notch headliners including LCD Soundsystem, M83, and Thievery Corporation, this interactive three-day event provides a larger platform to the crème de la crème of local artists while also shedding light on Miami’s robust counterculture.
In addition to the music, creative director and experimental fashion innovator, Aileen Quintana, will unveil her latest immersive art installation, Sunset@Noon. Inspired by Vaporwave, a culture characterized by the nostalgic fascination of retro aesthetics, video games, technology, and advertising, Sunset@Noon will submerge festival-goers into a state of alternate dimensions. The installation will take over the entirety of a 6,000-square-foot warehouse located on the festival grounds, transforming the space into a multi-sensory experience of art, music and fashion, each expressed in vintage, internet-based aesthetics.
The headliners and local acts alone make this event worth attending, but there are also quite a few must-see festival favorites performing on the various stages throughout the weekend. We recommend checking out Flying Lotus, Method Man & Redman, DIIV, Earl Sweatshirt, Thee Oh Sees, Junior Boys, and Vince Staples, but the stacked lineup definitely has something for everyone. If you’re in the area, this is the place to be and tickets are still available here.
