Electric Forest Expands To Two Weekends

Every summer, Electric Forest transforms the woods of Rothbury, Michigan into an electronic music wonderland. Now in its seventh year, the festival has expanded to two consecutive weekends featuring top EDM acts, camping, carnival rides, and art installations that create an atmosphere unlike any other event on earth. Last year, tickets sold out in two weeks, so in an effort to maintain the integrity of the festival while welcoming new faces, Electric Forest will take place, June 22-25 and June 29 – July 2 with lower capacities and double the fun.

Get ready to make some tough decisions! According to festival organizers, each weekend will be unique, and none of the eight total days of Electric Forest will be the same. Some musical artists will perform on one weekend only, and some will perform multiple times throughout that weekend, but their performances will not be repeats. Instead, they will perform different sets of music tailored for different times of the day and night.

But don’t expect the festival to completely change. Organizers have promised to maintain the essence of Electric Forest. Fan favorites like Plug In, Her Forest and other unique curated events won’t be going anywhere. So far, the first weekend includes The String Cheese Incident (2 shows), Bassnectar, Odesza, My Morning Jacket and Above & Beyond. Weekend two also includes The String Cheese Incident and Bassnectar as well as DJ Snake, RL Grime and Thievery Corporation. Check out the complete lineups below and stay tuned for more details. We’re excited to see what else Electric Forest has planned for us in 2017!
