Located in the heart of the Cheshire countryside, in between the cities of Liverpool & Manchester, Creamfields began in 1998 and has been staged in 18 countries worldwide since its inception. With one of the strongest EDM lineups of the year planned for August 25-28 and new destinations on the map in 2017, this festival is definitely making waves.
Since the beginning, Creamfields has had a reputation for top-notch production and earlier this year they announced a brand new stage addition dubbed “The Steel Yard” – a 22,000-capacity tent that looks comparable to the mega-structures one would find at Ultra Miami or Electric Daisy Carnival. These days many festivals have unique stage designs though and what truly sets this one apart is their history. Creamfields has been delivering incredible, cutting edge lineups of EDM talent from around the globe for almost two decades and this year is no different with superstar headliners including Calvin Harris, Jack Ü, Fatboy Slim, Tiesto, and many more. If that isn’t enough, Avicii will be giving his last UK performance ever on Saturday night.
The underground electronic scene is also well represented at Creamfields and there are quite a few must-see artists performing on the various other stages throughout the weekend. We recommend checking out Ghastly, Jauz, Destructo, and Marshmello along with the b2b set from Delta Heavy & Loadstar, but the sheer amount of musical talent across multiple generations of artists will definitely be inspiring for anyone in attendance. Last minute tickets are still available and if you’re in the area, this is the place to be.
