BROKE LA is a 2-day music and arts festival that will be held April 21-22 at the historic Regent Theater in downtown Los Angeles, California. Formerly known as Brokechella, BROKE LA began as a low budget DIY alternative to Coachella, and they pride themselves on creating a unique, but affordable experience for music lovers alike.
“What we’ve had for the past seven years has been super special, but the spaces we used to be able to rent for $5,000 are now $35,000. [Affordable spaces] just don’t exist downtown anymore. And having a $50 ticket is not what we’re all about,” explains Negin Singh, the artistic director of CARTEL, an event production agency behind BROKE LA.
More than 50 electronic, pop, and alternative acts will take the stage including Robokid, Sizzy Rocket, Clara Nova, Holy Wars, Tek.lun, Foxtrax, Vokes, Low Hum, and more. Need a break from the music? Have a laugh at the comedy stage, explore the outdoor market, and relax at special yoga and meditation spaces!
