Outside Lands is returning to Golden Gate Park in San Francisco from August 5-7 with an amazingly stacked and diverse lineup. Headliners include Radiohead, LCD Soundsystem, Lionel Richie, and Duran Duran alongside festival favorites like Years & Years, The Knocks, Big Grams, and many more. Marian Hill is an electronic duo whose sound can best be described as a “cross between Drake and Ella Fitzgerald.” Their bass heavy songs combined with soulful vocals and occasional improv jazz helped them climb the Hype Machine charts and get them a record deal fairly quickly in 2015. If you can’t make their set on Friday at Outside Lands, they will be playing later that night at a club called Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco.

Pillowtalk is a three piece electronic band from San Francisco with a sound that combines R&B, boogie, disco and house music vibes. They have been featured on Soul Clap with official releases on Visionquest, Life and Death, Wolf + Lamb, and Bang the Box. After their performance at Outside Lands they will be off touring in Europe for the rest of August, so make sure you catch them this weekend.

Vince Staples has been a fixture on the festival circuit this summer with performances at Coachella, Hangout Fest, Sasquatch and more. His debut album Summertime ‘06 was met with rave reviews and he’s since been featured on the cover of Fader Magazine. His set is definitely a must see this weekend.

DIIV is an indie band from New York has garnered attention from publications such as Pitchfork, Altered Zones, and Spin since their formation in 2011. Their laid back sound is laced with elements of indie and dream pop, so they will be the perfect backdrop to a Sunday afternoon in San Francisco laying on the grass in Golden Gate Park.

We highly recommend arriving early to get a good spot for Chance the Rapper’s set this weekend. Fresh off his opening-track feature on Kanye West’s The Life of Pablo, the 23 year old Chicago rapper released his album Coloring Book earlier this year with heavy gospel influences and guest appearances from 2 Chainz, Lil Wayne, Kanye West and others. His live performances are high energy and you definitely don’t want to miss this one.
